It has included practices such as yoga, bodywork, meditation/chanting/praying, dance, visualization, energy movement, breathwork, cosmology, psychoactive plants (this is still debated), holistic medicine and traditional medicine such as Ayurveda and traditional Chinese medicine TCM. A person who is more in touch with themselves, other living things, the planet, and whatever they choose their spirituality to be. Having been practiced in some form for thousands of years beginning with ancient Shamans in the East, Tantra is the worn down path or philosophy of how to be a better person and live a more blissful life. It is a path of radical acceptance of life as a whole (including but not limited to sexuality), because acceptance leads to expansion, just as much as letting go leads to expansion. Tra - is an instrumental suffix and when combined, Tan-tra or Tantra, means an instrument for expansion. Tan - a Sanskrit word pronounced "Thun', means expansion.
